Grand Rapids Wedding Photography

On Monday night I went to another MWEP (Michigan Wedding Event Professionals) meeting.  It is a great time to socialize with other wedding vendors, and find out a little more about some of their businesses!  Well, I was very impressed with Ann Forrester of Forrester farms!

Ann began her business in 2000, out of a love for flowers and gardening, and her business has been growing ever since!  She grows most of her own flowers.  In fact, she said that she just put in over 240 Hydrangea bushes this year!

Forrester Farm offers fresh cut flowers grown from their  property.  They also feature Michigan grown potted herbs, handcrafted botanical products and more.   Not only do they offer blooms from their farm, but Ann also works with quality vendors year round to provide the best for your wedding.

I wanted to showcase a florist that did the flowers at the last wedding I photographed in Grand Rapids (David+Becky)  Her name was Gail VanderLaan out of Rockford.  Gail services the Grand Rapids and West Michigan Area.  The flowers were absolutely beautiful, and the details of the design were gorgeous!  Here is a little photography to show off some of here beautiful designs from David and Becky’s wedding!

Last night I attended a MWEP meeting.  MWEP is a group of Michigan wedding and event professional.  The purpose of the meeting is to network with other wedding vendors.  I met vendors from the Grand Rapids and West Michigan area.  One of the vendors that I met was Becka of lil’ Miss Cupcakes.  Her cupcakes are to die for!  She had samples at the meeting last night, and all I can say is… YUMMMMMYYYYY!   lil’ Miss Cupcake bakes all their cupcakes from scratch, using only the freshest and finest quality ingredients.  Becka explained to us that she is dedicated to using organic ingredients, like organic brown eggs, organic milk, fresh real butter, ultra fine cake flour and Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Vanilla.  She can customize your cupcakes with your choice of colors and decorations, as well as flavor.  (She has some amazing and unique flavors!)  So, if you are looking for something a little different and a little more special for your wedding than a traditional wedding cake, give Becka a call!

This week I have a wedding at Egypt Valley Country Club in Grand Rapids Michigan.   It is a beautiful venue.  I pulled some images from the last wedding I photographed there, which happened to be Joel and Rachel’s wedding again!  The building was decorated for Christmas, which made the photography beautiful!  The food was amazing, and the staff was wonderful to work with.
