Grand Rapids Wedding Photography

I love to do engagement sessions! It really gives me a chance to get to know a couple before the wedding day.  Jim and Amanda were so much fun, that it makes me excited for their fall wedding!  We did their engagement session in Downtown Grand Rapids.

It is very flattering when another photographer asks you to photograph their wedding… and I was flattered when Jessie asked me!  I have known Jessie as a fellow photographer for about 4 years.  She had a BEAUTIFUL wedding on the 4th of July weekend.  The ceremony was at St. Mary’s Visitation in Byron Center, and the reception was at Stonewater Country Club.   The day was HOT, HOT, HOT, but we had a ton of fun!  It was complete with fireworks and everything!  Thanks Jessie and Ramon for a wonderful fun filled day!  If you would like to see more, check out the slideshow here!

A couple weeks ago we were scheduled to do DeeAnn and Coty’s engagement session at Holland State Park.  It was not looking good for weather…. I was watching the forecast and radar all day.  As the time drew closer, I thought I had better call DeeAnn to reschedule, it was going to rain.  When I talked to her, we decided to wait until it was time to leave to make the call.  Again, I called her at the time I was going to leave… “Let’s do it!”  she said!  So, we went for it, and it was a BLAST! When we got to Holland State Park, it wasn’t raining… yet.  About 15 minutes into our session, it started to rain.  So, we pulled out the umbrella’s and started having fun!  The good thing was that there was NO ONE at the beach!  We had the beach and the pier to ourselves!  I had a great time for something fun!  Thanks DeeAnn and Coty!

I was honored that Amiee and Vu selected me to be their wedding photographer for their wedding at Frederick Meijer Garden in Grand Rapids!  It was a new experience for me with all the Vietnamese traditions that were incorporated into the reception.  The food at Golden Gate Restaurant for the reception was AMAZING!  We had great time trying new things like Jellyfish, and learning how to use our chop sticks properly!  (I still don’t think I can do it!).  Thank you Amiee and Vu for letting us share in your special day!  Don’t forget to check out the slideshow!
