On Monday night I went to another MWEP (Michigan Wedding Event Professionals) meeting.  It is a great time to socialize with other wedding vendors, and find out a little more about some of their businesses!  Well, I was very impressed with Ann Forrester of Forrester farms!

Ann began her business in 2000, out of a love for flowers and gardening, and her business has been growing ever since!  She grows most of her own flowers.  In fact, she said that she just put in over 240 Hydrangea bushes this year!

Forrester Farm offers fresh cut flowers grown from their  property.  They also feature Michigan grown potted herbs, handcrafted botanical products and more.   Not only do they offer blooms from their farm, but Ann also works with quality vendors year round to provide the best for your wedding.

Miranda + Ray!

July 16, 2009

Miranda and Ray were married last Saturday on a beautiful day!  When I heard the thunder at 5:30 am, I was a little nervous, but the rain cleared up in time for a perfect wedding day.  Miranda had her hair and make up done at Creative Edge in Muskegon.  Then it was on to Saint Francis de Sales for the Catholic ceremony.  I LOVE the look of that church.  It has very unique architecture.  The lighting inside is beautiful!  After the ceremony, we headed to Pere Marquette, for some fun on the beach!  The reception was at the Holiday Inn – Muskegon Harbor.   Don’t forget to watch their slideshow here!

Ask Miranda and Ray who the gorilla was! He came out of hiding and made a special appearance at the wedding for them!

Nate + Katie!

July 15, 2009

I had a GREAT time at Nate and Katie’s wedding on Friday.  (Or should I say Kate and Natie?)  I kept getting tongue tied when I was talking to them, and I found out that I wasn’t the only one who did that!)  The wedding was held in Cascade at  Cascade Fellowship Christian Reformed Church.  We were watching the weather all day, since the reception was going to be in a tent outdoors at Centennial Country Club in Grand Rapids.  Nate even called and talked to Matt Kirkwood and Terri DeBoer from Wood TV 8 that morning to help make the decision on whether or not to move the reception indoors!  Well, there were only a few sprinkles for a few minutes the entire day, so it worked out beautifully!  We started out the morning at the Ada Covered Bridge for Nate and Katie’s first look.  Then we finished up portraits at the Church, and I witnessed a beautiful ceremony.  Katie surprised Nate by singing “Be Thou my Vision” to him before she walked down the isle.   After the ceremony, we headed to the reception, and hopped in some golf carts to take a few more portraits on the golf course.  There was no rain for the outdoor tent reception!  Congratulations Nate and Katie!  If you want to see more, check out the slideshow here!0715200915071520091607152009170715200918071520091907152009210715200922071520092307152009240715200925071520092607152009270715200928
